The members of FBC of the Islands held their first church services on January 4, 1959, and by January of 1960, 100 charter members founded Wilmington Island Baptist Church. Through the year, the church has changed the name, updated leadership structures, and expanded its facilities, but it still remains focused on serving the Lord and faithfully expanding His Kingdom in the islands communities.
